Mad Dog is way more entertaining than fat Mike is.

Russo didn't want to deal with Mike's 'superior' ego anymore. On Sirius, he won't have to be second banana.

Russo felt it was time to do something else. It may stink, but he just felt it was time to go in a different direction.
