  1. i totally believe in protest and boycott..i have boycotted quite a few things in my life BUT....

the olympics are an act of goodwill...its a time where all countries should put their differences aside and just come together..regardless of race..religion..or beliefs

these people train for years and years to b able to participate in thses games and should b honored no matter what....

the olympics are just not the time to make a stand..and im sorry..and u may not agree w my opinion..but it is my opinion

i am very rebellious to society and i usually have a F you heres my finger attitude to society..but i do believe in the unity of people and this is one time in every 4 years where people unite..lets pick some other time to make a point

    good question BIG!

  2. What happened to the SF protesters against the Olympics and China? All of them were not there to see China vs. tibet, 700 years ago, so they don't know what they're talking about! The "so-called" human rights violations and victims portrayed on propaganda materials were actually executed criminals that paid for their crimes and not innocent bystanders minding their business.....

Congratulations to Mayor Newsom for his tact in changing the torch route and psyching out the troublemakers, so that they could not amass and molest the Olympic flame! A "few" got close, but the bodyguards and SF Police knocked them down! Now, since the torch run is complete and the closing ceremony was even more secure at the airport, those tibetians and leftist liberal extremists (Asian wannabes) could not enter the grounds at SFO and ruin the ceremony!

The common sense of SF's Mayor and the Olympic Flame both have the last word and the tibetians and liberals have to reload for the next torch destination. We won and kept the Olympic spirit alive! Great work, Mr. Newsom!

  3. not really... idk

  4. Yep.

    now everyone's happy!

the protesters feel they have had an effect and been heard.

and the games can still carry on.

lets not forget the torch/flame/whatever it is is only a symbol for the main attraction that is still to come.

And at least the chinese keep it in their own borders (or so they think!)

  5. They can voice their opinions all they want, they just can't harass the torch carriers.

  6. The protestors should have been shot and killed.  The protestors are a disgrace and love Usama and loved watching WTC fall.  They are worse then Al-Queda and worship Usama and Al-Queda and all should die.  And, be blown up by IEDs.  Death to all protestors for all protestors are terrorists.

  7. why yes, this is san francisco.what would you expect from the left coast?

  8. Did you not hear the news, Big-G? This is hardly a free country any more. 1 out of 100 citizens are in jail/prison. Big brother watches everyone, everywhere. We are not allowed to protest to show our outrage any more. The times they are a changin

  9. The protesters usually believe they are not only free to protest, but also free to force people to listen. There is a difference.

  10. I wasn't paying close attention to the subject... but if there was a legitimate threat of violence, a change of route would be more than justified.
