Can you believe the Sirus merger finally went through, can anyone think of a reason for the delay?

It took over a year for the government to approve this merger, what a joke. Can anyone present an actual good reason to why they think it should have taken this long?

Well probably because it eliminates competition in the Satellite radio market and creates a monopoly that will reduce the diversity of ideas and increase price in the long term.

Free radio isn't competition for Satellite.  Satellite's main selling point is it's uncensored nature.  Free radio is censored.  

Also because Howard Stern sucks and Bubba swallows.
