Can you believe the nonsense that the Chinese government is spewing out these days?

for example, saying that they decided to send the torch around the world to "encourage people (how thoughtful) to build a more harmonious better tomorrow"? These empty unimaginative slogans do nothing but make people shake their heads in bewilderment. How about this slogan, "Talk About it After You Do It!" Any other suggestions for slogans that protestors can use as the torch relay runs the gauntlet?

  1. i don't know why the Chinese government think that we believe and enjoy that propaganda.  They don't know any better,  so we can't expect them to be that brilliant..   the Chinese ambassador in Canada really think that his explanations about Tibet make sens...  they think that we are totally stupid...

  2. I don't think the Chinese have anything to do with the Olympic Torch route. I believe that is a tradition from the Olympic committee itself. I could be wrong. I'm not that excited about the Olympics being held in China, and therefore haven't been paying a lot of attention to the sloganeering.

  3. How about "No more Olympics Games for socially under developed countries!"

  4. it has always been like this.

    everything gets covered up.

    everything gets censored.

just look at how they've torn down houses and relocated heaps of people so that beijing would "look good' in 2008.

or how the tibet riots are "controlled".

i go to china almost every year to party and shop. but any chinese person with a clear head knows pretty well that the government is evil.

  5. Yes.

  6. yep, we are no better than they are, aren't we suppose to build a more harmonious better tomorrow, between us and them who is more enroute.
