Can you belive He Kexin is on the Olympic Womens Gymnastics Team is actually 13!!!? She is supose to be 16!!! She didn't even look 16. "Her birthday was listed as Jan. 1, 1992" isn't that messed up!!!

I can't belive that they actually said she was 16 so she could be in the Olympics!!! What do you think about this?

I think they are underage. Their ages were reported to be 14 in China Daily, People's Daily, and Sina, all of which are government owned or run There is also evidence from an inner-city registration list and one of the gymnast's own coaches.

Americans are not saying this out of "poor sportsmanship". It was reported in the New York Times in July, before the Olympics started.

China has a history of age falsification in the Olympics. At the 2000 Sydney Olympics Chinese gymnast Yang Yun competed and won a bronze medal in the uneven bars. Yang's passport said she was born on December 24, 1984 and turning 16 in the year of the Games, making her eligible. She later confessed in a television interview that she was only 14 at the time of the competition and that she and her coaches had lied about her age.

If the girls really were 16 it could be proven using an MRI scan.

Yes I heard about that this morning, I'm not surprised EVERYONE knew her and a couple of others on that team were under 16.

She is not 16. They are cheaters and that's not fair. But hey it's china, you know if they care more about looks than a little girl's feelings or looks, they will do anything to look good or win. Shame Shame Shame!!!!!!!!! For the person that said usa was beaten by a 13 so who is the loser? What do you think they take those little girls out of preschool and treat them like a machine or something. I heard one of the commentators say they only see their parents about once a year. and one of the girls wanted to go home and her father told her no that is a shame. Obviously they don't care about family values

Yea, I read that too. Well, with all the fake stuff china has pulled, I guess it isn't too shocking. I mean come on though, how low can they go. They cheat the system just so they can win a gold medal. People can say " it doesn't matter how old they are because they still beat the USA ", but it is plain and simple, they cheated.

Unfortunately the Chinese Communist government will do anything to win and make China look good, even if it includes cheating like this.
