  1. No. Your contract is not about feelings, it's about clauses and laws.

    If you REALLY want out you're going to have to negotiate with the landlord. Expect to pay penalties.

    No, your feelings have nothing to do with contract.    You can not break the lease, it is not a legal reason.

  4. Sure, you can break the lease like so many do.  But you won't be able to do so without financial penalty simply because 'you do not feel safe'.

    Renting a property has NOTHING to do with 'your feelings', and has everything to do with the lease you signed, which is a binding and legal contract.

    The time for you to decide whether or not you would feel safe was BEFORE you signed your lease agreement.
