My boyfriend recently gave me a baby Albino California King Snake. He and I thought it might be a good idea to try to breed my snake with his Columbian Red-Tailed Boa, (once my King Snake is of age, of course).

So, basically, I was just wondering if this is possible, and if so, how to go about doing so. And I was wondering if anyone knows/ has ever seen what the phenotype of this cross-breed will be.

  1. go to youtube, snakebytes has a wicked green tree python crossed with a carpet python its called a carpondro

  2. i would not try it. number one those ARE  very cool snakes and i would not risk there heath. get the advice of a proffesional.

  3. No they cant A its impossible B:it would just lead to the usual mixing issues and stress for the snakes as snakes are soliatry animals

  4. No.  When animals are different species, it means they cannot interbreed.

  5. There is a possibility, when they are in the same family only. A colubrid with a colubrid, pythonidae with pythonidae EX: Kingsnake x corn snake or blood python x ball python, but not pythonidae with colubrid.

  6. Only closely-related species can interbreed -- sometimes. Your boyfriend is no herpetologist.
