Can you bring a shaving razor on a cruise or do they consider it a "weapon"?

im going on a cruise and i was wondering if you can bring your own razor? Are you supposed to buy one on the ship? do they have them?

If you pack a straight razor in your shoe, its a weapon. If you pack a standard shaving razor in your travel bag, its a razor.

THEY WONT ALLOW IT  CUZ ITS EAST TO TAKE APART AND CONSEAL IT.. U PROB HAVE TO BUY IT ON THE SHIP. OR THE DUTY FREE THINGY .

Getting on a cruise ship is just like getting on an airplane. They have the same x-ray machines and other such things. Unless you are planning to shave the moment you get on the ship, you really don't need to have it with you in your carry-on-the-boat-with-you-yourself bags.

Most ships have you leave your big luggage with them, and they take it to your room for you later. You won't be needing much for the first few hours anyway. Most ships do a lifeboat drill during this time.

You can bring your razor in your check bag and it's totally fine, just like on the airplane. Most ships also have a general store which will carry razors if you wish to buy them on the ship as well.
