  1. You should try to find a costco when in port and really freak out the screeners on board with some really large purchases...hahaha! You need to check the regulations of each port, usually on the ships website there is a listing, or you can email them to ask.

Yes you can.  And not only that, I always take a six pack of soft drinks and a six pack of bottled water when I first board my cruises.  Have done this for the past dozen or so over the past several years on 3 or 4 cruise lines.  The only thing you cannot bring back to the ship for your cabin is alcoholic beverages. If you bring those back to the ship they will confiscate it and hold it until the last night of your cruise.  But water, soft drinks and snacks are OK to bring back to the ship.

  3. Only in some ports. All us ports will let you. Also it cannot be opened. Only if it is sealed and in the orginal packaging. I tried to get back on the ship in St. Maarten with a smoothie that I had just bought and I was stoped before I even got on the ship to the security checkpoint.
