Can you bring your laptop during labor & delivery to the hospital?

And also are you allowed to have one in your recovery room after you have your baby?

  1. You can bring it but I doubt you will care if the lap top is there once it's time to deliver. I remember in 93' when my son was being born that the TV was on with one of my favorite shows on and it was a comedy but it didn't make me laugh. I just couldn't get into it. I remember it came on at 9pm and Clint was born just around midnight, I couldn't tell you much about anything that happened in between that. You will be so focused on what's going on with your body that any kind of out side information will not be to important. But hey, after midnight, I was ready to party. I was back and then ready to do most anything. But I was so focused on the baby I didn't much care about the outside world. Good luck!


  2. when i was pregnant they told us that any electrical equipment that we wanter to bring in with us to labour would have to be checked by the hospital first. ring and ask about the hospital policy where are you.

  3. It probably depends on the hospital, but I work on an L&D floor and they're allowed there.
