Can you burn blu ray movies?

I have a dvd burner to backup my dvd movies and have no problem burning them, is there a blu ray dvd burner and will they play like the original or play on the playstation 3?

You can burn blu-ray discs on a blu-ray burner but not commercial Blu-ray movies because thats illegal.

DVD burning is an iffy legal situation but your usually ok as long as you aren't selling the DVD's or anything. Yes there are Blu-ray burners for your PC but They are very pricy and the blu-ray media are also expensive. I reccomend just backing them up as you said and getting a regular DVD player.



Also by ripping them and burning again you won't get better quality. If anything it'll be worse because of data loss through the burning/ripping process.

Remember, ripping DVD's is a very sensitive legal process, you don't wanna mess with the government.
