  1. I have met this kind of situation before, here is the place I found useful.http://carinsurance.expertsupport.info/a...

  2. Of course you can. But make sure you get adequate transport to get it back home (big car transporter will do).

And once home make sure there's a place in your private property where you can store the car till you are ready to buy insurance for it.

  3. Yes, but if you need to drive it home you would need insurance.

If it was standing in your drive or garage and got stolen, damaged, broken into , you would be glad it was insured.

  4. Technically, yes you can. However, some dealers are not happy unless you sign to say that you have taken out insurance before you drive off, thus releasing them from any legal wrongdoing if you then go ahead and drive without insurance.

However, please remember that you would not be able to purchase Road Tax without evidence of Insurance. It is illegal to drive on the road without Insurance or Road Tax and both carry heavy fines.

It is also irresponsible to drive without insurance. If you were to have an accident and injure someone or damage their property you will be liable to the costs or they will go without due to your behaviour. This is a serious offence and the courts take a very dim view of it.

And lastly, what about your property? If you have fully comp insurance (and this is often cheaper than 3rd party these days, you will have lost your hard earned cash if you have an accident.

So do the right thing, and sort insurance as soon as you purchase a car, there is no excuse.

  5. Weather you buy from a dealer or garage, or privately, DON'T EVEN DRIVE IT HOME without insurance cover!  Make the phone-call there and then, and get covered immediately.  Firstly, it is illegal to drive without insurance, it will get you a ban, a fine, and they may crush your car!  Secondly, I had to make my first ever claim just yesterday.  A truck carrying steel frames on board had an insecure load, and some of them fell off, all over the passenger-side of my car!  I was gutted, but at least I have insurance, so they will get the cost of the repairs out of his insurance - if I had not been covered, I would be paying for it myself!

  6. Yes, you can buy it but you can't legally drive it unless you have another vehicle all ready insured. In that case you have time to add the newly purchase vehicle to the existing policy and you can drive It home or to your Insurance Agents office. if you don't have an existing Insurance Policy, take the vehicle information to the Insurance Agent of your choice & insure it, then go back to the dealer & pick up the vehicle.

  7. Yes you can buy but without insurance you will not be able to legally drive it away. Also without insurance you will not be in a position to road tax the car and for this reason also, you will not be able to drive it away. Why buy it and not have insurance as you are going to have to get it anyway. Why delay.

  8. yes you can. you will need cover if you are planning on driving the vehicle. however, bear in mind, if something should happen to the car (it catches fire etc) after you have bought it then you will not have anyone to claim from. i work in insurance, and what i tell people is if you can not afford to lose the money, pay the premium.

  9. Yes, but big dealers may not release it untol you can show proof. You can get second-hand one without insurance, but you would need to trailer it away,
