Can you buy a degree?

Just out of curiosity, can you buy a Degree without actually attending college? I’ve heard of people buying a diploma. I’m just wondering if it would even count as a real doctorate or bachelors…

There are people out there who buy degrees from dipola mills (who specialize in producing fake diplomas) and have held jobs as s*x-abuse counselors, college vice presidents, child psychologists, athletic coaches and engineers. There was a guy who bought a variety of fake diplomas and worked as a doctor. A mother and her daughter followed his medical advice and her daughter died.

So these diplomas are fat lies which are illegal. It's not worth the trouble of getting caught and there's more value to an achieved diploma anyway.

anything can be counterfeited with today's technology and you might get away with it for a while but if an employer check with the college your diploma suppposidly came from they will get the truth then.  Also some will ask to see your transcrips. Those can be counterfeited too I guess.

Well you wouldn't be at degree level of the subject so it would be useless! It's like having a cardboard computer, it might look the part, but it won't be able to do anything.

Go to university if you want a degree, you dodgy cardboard computer!

technically, yes. however, i don't think that it would help you that much in the long run...

you can buy them or you can be awarded them on the basis of experience etc... honestly, nobody takes them seriously if you haven't put in the work required to obtain a degree in the normal manner. most of the schools that provide degrees on the basis of experience or who sell degrees are not recognised by other institutions, employers etc...

I am sure that it has happened. Some people have enough money to buy other people. I guarantee that with enough money you could make this happen.

There are diploma mills all over the place online. It's wasted money because if it is discovered that the diploma is fake, the person is fired.

Technically, you buy a degree anyway.

But of course you can't just 'buy' one without attending college... what on earth would be the point?!

yes u can buy a diploma on a website but the school anit real and they tell u u cant say u got this degree and try get a job just cause u got a degree in by the mail   but the diploma looks real and nice just they are fake the porpuse is just for display only
