Can you buy a dvd player that plays disks from more than one region. If so, How much is it?

For example, Without realizing that DVDs from a different part of the world have different regions, I went and bought a DVD pack of one of my favorite TV shows from Australia rather than wait 6 months for it to come out in the US. The only problem is that it is a region 4 disk, and my DVD player only plays whatever region number the US is in. The DVDs were expensive and are not returnable.
