Can you buy a reinforced harley drive belt. I just snapped one after 4000 mls?

Harley makes a heavy duty belt for bikes with side cars, my "ripper" buddies use them.

is it new enough to go back for warranty?

i've never had a belt problem except for once when i used the wrong spacers on a rear wheel and it wasn't lined up.... couldn't blame the belt for that one, it was all my fault

Don't feel too bad. Mine went at 8600 miles.

If its a brand new bike take it back to the shop, tell them what happened. They use that as one of the selling points for them, better than a chain etc.
