I want to buy a one way airline ticket to London from Brisbane or Sydney Australia - it is actually cheaper buying a return from the UK - but only using the return part of the ticket to get over to London - can this be done or do you have to use the outward journey of the ticket too??? Also why are the fares so much dearer going from Australia than from UK??

  1. Your question is a little confusing.  Of course you can buy a one way ticket from london to Brisbane.  No problem.  But... If you are talking about buying a round trip ticket and only using one leg of the ticket. Look out,  this is really frowned on by the airlines and there have been instances of retaliation by the airlines.  Removal from their benefits programs and in some cases even legal action.  Of course if you just use the 1st part of the ticket, you can always claim you just missed your plane but if you try to use the second half without using the first, its quite obvious and can get you into trouble.  Be careful. But have fun.
