Sony's holiday strategy plans for Japan have been revealed and they appear to be similar to those in Europe and Australia. The Japanese will be getting the brand-new White 40GB PlayStation 3 model on November 11, the first anniversary of the PS3 in the region. Prices for the 20GB and 60GB models will be reduced on October 17.

Unfortunately, only Black coloured Playstation 3 is available for us guys in Australia and New Zealand.

While Japan has white, silver and black Ps3.

If you really want a White Ps3 you could buy an imported one. ( but it wouldn't be a PAL. It would be a NSTC. )

PAL countries: Europe, New Zealand and Australia.

NTSC countries: Japan, America and Asia

But I suggest that if you are just getting a Ps3 buy a Ps3 in Australia. Because you might have some problem later on if you watch Blu-ray movies because some Blu-ray movies are region LOCKED but others are region FREE.

And another good thing is if you buy a Ps3 in Australia, if it breaks.. It would be easy for you to send to SONY Australia.

But if you buy a japan imported Ps3 and if it breaks. You will find it hard to send to SONY Japan because of the shipping hassles etc.

If you're gonna buy a PS3 wait for a "SALE" in stores. They usually have a bundle.

I bought my one in EB GAMES New Zealand and I bought it for $500 NZD
