  1. Yes, I did that for my daughter, We had to sign her up with a $20 a month data plan and sign her up with ITunes but it works just fine.

  2. Each and every phone has a unique number called the IMEI number which tells the provider all sorts of stuff such as what phone it is, who makes it, etc... and that number gets sent to your provider so either way AT&T will find out that you are using an iPhone.  From there, its their decision to force you to switch to an iPhone plan or not

  3. ok heres the deal .... if you purchase an iPhone at a store you will be required to add the data plan and we are not allowed to remove it.. its part of your terms and conditions.

If you buy one from a third party and just start using it, during one of the automated sweeps the system will find your using an Iphone and flag the account. You will not be able to use your features and will need to call us .. and we will advise to use the internet you will need that $30 data package .. oh yeah it also includes your visual voicemail.

  4. Yes you can...just don't let us know...shhhhhh...lol. If you happen to use the data just know it's 0.01/kb that you use. You're better off with a package.

    Cheers!

  5. no u cannot, u have to buy it with a new phone.
