  1. Talking about Everclear right?  $15-20 for a 750mL? Not worth it.

Not to mention, thats only 195 Proof, the other 2.5% is water/impurities.

  2. Yes, ethanol is the same alcohol that you drink, but most hard liquor is at best 50% alcohol and the rest mostly water.

  3. Ethanol is in all alcoholic beverages, but I really wouldn't recommend trying to run your car on them.  They probably have a lot of other stuff in them that could really mess up your engine.

  4. yes you can buy ethanol at the liquor store, but as the others have indicated the level of alcohol is not high enough to run as a motor fuel. you need at least 160 proof to run as a fuel, but higher is better. but going to a liquor store to buy your motor fuel is defeating the purpose of finding a fuel that is lower in price than gasoline, since buying a gallon of gin is far more expensive than a gallon of gasoline.

  5. Ethanol is the alcohol that people drink so, yes you can buy it in the form of beer, brandy, etc. And,no beer, gin and rum cannot be used as fuel for cars.
