Can you buy into the final table of a wsop torney?

I have a bet with a coworker and he say's that you can skip the whole thing and with enough money you can buy in when it gets to the final table.

That wouldn't make much sense would it?

Why would anyone want to play through a grueling multi day tournament, if they could just buy in to the final table?

In all of the WSOP events, you must buy in just like everyone else, and play for as long as you can.  If you are any good, and also get lucky, you will make the final table and have a shot at the grand prize.

You can no more buy in to the final table at a WSOP event than you can buy your way into the prize money at a golf tournament.
