Can you buy stock in a sports team?

You know like buy shares of different sports teams? so say you can be like 0.0001% owner lol

The Celtics used to be a publicly traded stock, but I don't think so anymore. The Cubs are owned by the Tribune Co. which was publicly traded, but no longer is as Sam Zell bought them. The Packers are publicly owned (I own one share) the the shares are not publicly traded. You can only buy shares directly from them on the rare occasion that they sell shares. Like once every 20 or 30 years. Most of the other teams are owned by individuals, limited partnerships and privately owned companies. I'm not sure if there are any sports teams which you can take part ownership in. Unless the Packers do another stock offering you may be out of luck.
