  1. Yes you certainly can get good vitamins that will provide you with everything you need for  exceptionally good health and vitality. Country Life are good and a conversation with a clerk at a Whole Foods should help you out. For bone health you need bamboo shoots and cauliflower for the boron that compliments the calcium. There are sources of Vegetarian Vitamin D which is another key component in bone health. Of course you need exercise and good water too -- a lot of it -- half your body weight in ounces daily.

Vitamin B 12 is always the issue fo vegan/vegetarians but there is ample amounts of it in Tempeh and Nutritional Yeast.

Personally, I am lacto veg and prefer to supplement my diet with a mineral dense balanced multi for women called Women's Essentials. It builds Seratonen which helps with our feminine need to talk and eat a lot of chocolate. D. John Grey wrote a book called The Mars and Venus Diet and Exeecise Solution  where he talks about the Dopamine - Seratonen balance in men and women is at the bottom of much of the difficulty in relationships.  He says that at the end of the day a man's dopamine is shot and all he wants to do is go into his cave. read, watch the game, play a video game to replenish his dopamine level. For women it is our seratonen level that has been depleted -- we still have an abundance of dopamine -- but to replenish our seatonen levels we women need to talk and to eat chocolate.  You can see where the gender issues and relationship problems come from --  right? Unfortunately, the formula I use is vegetarian not vegan. But if you are interested you can go to www.bettesos.isagenix.com and check out the formula for the Men's and Women's Essentials.

  2. I also get the DEVA brand multivitamin with iron.  They have a once-daily variety that's not a giant "horse pill."  Most multivitamins, unfortunately, don't have a lot of calcium, although they provide a minimal amount.

  3. At a lot of the health food markets like Trader Joes, Whole foods, and Sunflower market, they actually sell vitamins that are meant for vegan's. I can't remember what mine is called but I got mine from Sunflower Market. Not cheap by any means. Also if you eat the right kinds of food you really shouldn't have to worry about taking vitamins as a vegan

  4. Yes, you can.

I used to order DEVA brand- they have multiple types for vegans including Prenatal.

veganstore.com has a number of products but they can easily be found by looking for 'vegan multivitamins' in a search engine

  5. I order a vegan vitamin from Pangea that can be purchased with or without iron, depending on your needs. It is a multivitamin so I am pretty sure it has calcium, but if not you could get a separate one for that. The dosage says to take 3 a day but I only take one as I figure I do get a lot through my meals since I eat a pretty healthy diet. Plenty of foods have iron and calcium, you just need to do a little research. The book "Becoming Vegan" was very helpful for me when I started the transition. There is a ton of information in it and it lists of foods for every nutrient that you should focus on as your diet changes. Here is the website for the vitamin:
