A line on a graph has points (3.3 mL, 6.5 g) and (5.9 mL, 4.6g). Calculate the slope of the line.

  1. Slope = y2 - y1 / x2 - x1

    m = 4.6 - 6.5 / 5.9 - 3.3

    m = -1.9/2.6

    m = 0.73 approx

    which is the density..hope tht helps :)


  2. Using the formula m (which represents slope) = y2-y1/x2-x1 =(4.6-6.5/5.9-3.3) = -0.73076923. This is a line starting in the lower right quadrant and going in to the upper left quadrant. The line crosses the y axis (the vertical one) about three quarters of the way between zero and -1.

  3. M=y2-y1/x2-x1=4.6-6.5/5.9-3.3=-1.9/2.6=-...

    slopeM=-0.730
