Can you call a police station and ask to speak to someone who is under arrest?

  1. If you are referring to a municipal police department, you can ask, but they are under no obligation to allow it. After processing is complete, the person is usually released, but some are taken to the jail depending on the charge.

    If you are referring to a county jail, definitely not. All calls must originate from the jail.


  2. yea u can ask, but i guess they won't let u speak to him/her, But Hopefully, they might allow you by some special reason.  

  3. not unless you live in mayberry. you have to wait until they are processed in to jail and then they can call you collect.

  4. No you can't, but after they are booked into the station they will be given a phone to either speak with an attorney or call someone to bail them out.
