most calling cards have either one or the other, but some calling cards have both.

you can dial the local access number, or the toll-free access number for the calling card.

Calling the toll-free card number will charge you more then a calling card that you can call a local access number, but the local minutes will be charged to your phone if you do not have unlimited local minutes on the phone you are calling from
