1) A lot of banks will let you cash it without an account if you bring two forms of ID

2) You can sign it over to someone who has an account somewhere and go with them so you can get the cash

You can cash it at a branch of the bank that the check is drawn on.  Most banks will not cash checks drawn on other banks if you don't have an account with the bank.

You can only cash a check at the bank that the check is written on.

No other bank will do this unless,.  If you have a bank account, it would be just as easy to deposit the check there.

Be sure you take two types of identification with you.
