The Southeastern Lubber Grasshoppers are eating my ornamental plants, so I need to get rid of them anyway. I was just wondering if they'd be good bait for shore fishing or intracoastal fishing.

  1. Excellent for catfish.

  2. Bass like grasshoppers are other terrestrials, so do perch for that matter. You can fish them live topwater with minimal weight, in an area where grasshoppers are abundant, and you might see good results.

  3. yes they are!

All kinds of fish love them!

Use them with a bobber and set to about 3ft depth.

Use a very small sinker with them just enough to get them to sink.

You may have to ready for what you catch lol, Like I say most or all kinds of fish love them.
