  1. possible yes likely not if she never had symtoms it could have been from a former partener of his but on the face doesnt sound like herpes he does need to have it checked contact alergy is likly touched and spread or she could have had on make up he is alergic to considering locals

  2. It is possible. This does not sound like it is it though. This sounds more like he got into poison ivy or a caustic solution.

  3. I doubt it- and if he has got it he could have been carrying it for years and has only just had a "show! if he had the sores when he had s*x with the girl he needs to tell her asap as she could also have it it is ony contagious when there are herpe sores.

  4. Well, it is possible but a face rash is not one of the symptoms of Herpes.

  5. Yes, definitely.

80% of people infected with herpes have no symptoms.

In addition, the virus can often be present on the skin in between outbreaks, whether the infection is oral or genital and whether people have ever had symptoms or not.

Having said that, a rash in both areas does not sound like herpes. Maybe an allergic reaction?

  6. yes its possible but not as possible as when a person with herpes has an out break.

people with herpes are less contagious when they don't have out breaks but they still have a small chance of passing it on in between. but that is even further reduced if they are taking suppressive medication. it is also possible to carry the virus and have little to no symptoms or full out breaks.

first this family member should make sure that this is herpes before making any accusations. tell your family member to get tested for herpes at the doctor or clinic while they still have the rash. if the rash goes away then most places would not want to test them.

it wouldn't matter if it was protected or not. if they had symptoms of an out break or a small undetectable out break outside of where the condom covers then they could still have a risk of getting herpes.

  7. Absolutely!  That's how the virus spreads so well.  Some people experience horrid symptoms all the time, some people experience none at all, some experience somewhere in between.  My brother recently got tested for STD's.  Even though he had never shown any symptoms for anything, he turned up positive for d*mn near all of them!  It's positively scary to think about how much he spread them, too.  That may not be what your relative has, though.  His best bet is to go to the doctor and find out.

  8. YES someone can have genital herpes and be "shedding" the virus which means that although you can't see anything it is possible to spread it.  Also, it is very possible that maybe she has never seen a rash like that.  Or maybe what she thought was Razor burn or a a yeast infection etc was really an outbreak.  Some people get it worse then others.  The outbreak can be severe in others but mild in some.  It's a tricky virus and unfortunately even if he used a condom he still probably could have caught it.  It is passed from "Skin to Skin Contact"  It is possibly that he has been a carrier for years and due to rough s*x or s*x in general something triggered it.

It is also possibly that she is lying.  The best thing he can do it go to the DR ASAP while he still has the rash and get a swab sample and go from there.
