Can you change a 4.2 truck moter. and put a 3.8 mustang moter in the truck?

It ain't that easy. You'll need the computer, wire harness, tranny, etc.

They are basically the same engine, but being that I have an F150 with that 4.2L myself, I'd never consider it.  In my opinion, the 3.8l is too little engine for that much truck.

If it's an emergency, try it out.
