Can you change old Canadian $1 and $2 bills in any Canadian bank?

I have a couple. eBay has a few on auction for less than 1 US dollar, I'd rather just have the Canadian coins for spending in Canada. --MB

  1. Yes, you can change them at a bank, or just spend them.  They are still legal tender.  

    Once they are received at the bank, they are sent to the central bank for destruction as the paper notes were replaced by the $1 and $2 coins years ago.

    They are not worth much value-wise at this point if you are looking at it from a collector's point of view.  They need to be in pristine condition.
