  1. If the ship isn't full and you are willing to pay for the upgrade.

  2. Coming from a former front desk agent, only if you're a pain in the a$$, you know someone very influential or if you pay some kind of difference in fares (depends on how bad they want an empty room filled).

  3. Depends on the reason why and if there's availability. If it's an upgrade you're looking for you can certainly ask but don't expect too much. If there's a problem with your stateroom the cruise staff are usually pretty accommodating but again it depends on the specific problem and how many empty cabins there is left on the ship.

  4. I haven't heard of anyone being able to.  On our last cruise, a couple were being hassled by kids in a cabin near them so they asked to move.  They were told by passenger services, there were no empty cabins.  This is very likely as it was a holiday sailing.  Many other sailings are even overbooked and passengers are often offered special deals if they'll postpone til a later sailing (we were once offered a full refund and upgrade).

You can always try, but don't be disappointed if it's not possible.

  5. Well if the cruise is not full you might be able too got to the lobbly and see. It also depends what cruise line you are on but it wont hurt to ask them
