  1. I don't think so. Usually renters pay the electric utility directly, so the landlord would have no way do add a surcharge anyway.


  2. I think that would be a bad move. Its dishonest. If you want to do that just raise the rent or make it one bigger amount that covers utilities and rent. I've been renting for years and have the utilities in my own name my landlord doesn't even have to worry about it. Why don't you just do that?

    if u are supplying the electric it is up 2 u what 2 charge

    but b fair to your tenant
