I'm going out of town in august, my mom is booking our hotel but someone told me you have to be 21 to actually check in the hotel. Is that true? Or can you be 18? If anyone works at a hotel that would be great..thanks

  1. Every hotel has a different policy.  Most will allow 18 year olds to book, but many require that you be 21 (some even have a 25 minimum age policy).

So...contact the hotel that you want to stay at and find out their policy (or let us know, I'm sure we can find somewhere for ya).

  2. well some do some dont but i would imagine that most would alow you to book at the age of 18...

  3. Each hotel has their own specific policy on this issue.

At a minimum, you would need to be 18 and have a major credit card.

  4. Every place has a different policy. When I was under 21 I used hotels.com, it tells you the check in age on the hotel discription. Most hotels are going to be 21+ with a credit card. The lower end hotels are usually 18+ with a credit card.

It also depends on where you are going!
