Hi world of tax experrts,

I see from other posts that if you work part of the year you can get the form P85 from her majesty and claw a little gold back from her coffers!

This is all great and will be done - however i worked only part of the year last year as well (and did not know i could claim).. therefore

my question - can i claim for tax overpaid this part year worked

and on a seperate P85, for last year?

Problem is the P45 bits they require are pages 2 and 3 which i believe the new employer grabs.. hmmmm.

Thanks in advance from me - boo from Liz!

  1. P85 only applies if you have gone abroad.

You just need to write to your tax office, set out the names and addresses of all your employers last year and ask for a refund. Also tell them whether or not you were claiming JSA.
