Can you clean state quarters that you collect?

i no there is a mix of smething that cleans quarters, but i cant remeber what it is.plz help! and does nebody no when the last state quarters come out?

  1. You don't clean coins period. They lose value and most things that have acid in them such as vinegar actually eats the metal. Salt will causes scratches, very small ones and a dealer will hand you back the coin and say it was damaged and offer you nothing. State quarters are inexpensive even from a coin dealer so get some uncirculated ones. the last one will be out in about November. Next year they will issue the territory quarters.  


  2. a tablespoon of salt in a cup of vinegar will clean almost anything made of metal.

    I wouldn't use it on pure silver or silver plated stuff, but everything else cleans very well with this.

    I have no idea on the date of the last quarter, but will get my "mint condition" roll of quarters on it just as it comes out. That way they don't have to be cleaned. That way my grandchildren can have their collections and anyone else in the family can add to theirs.
