Can you collect your processed passport at the American embassy in London?

I need my passport urgently and I thought maybe if it is processed, instead of wasting extra time posting it would I be able to pick it up from there. Is there a collection service. I can't find anything online about it.

I would say no. I am acting on the presumption that you are an American - they will not let you into the UK without a valid passport.

Really the only thing you can do is get into touch with your passport agency to see what you can do to expidite it. Unfortunately there has been a huge backlog due to the passport laws changing in regards to Canada, etc.
