Can you combine optical audio signals?

I have an amp that has 1 audio optical input (tosklink). I have 2 optical sources (PC & Sky TV). Is it possible to get an optical 2 to 1 input device and would that work? Obviously, only 1 input device active at a time. Thanks.

  1. You want an optical switch/splitter:

  2. no such device that can do such (to my knowledge)

how about a different way of hooking things up:

if your tv has more than one opt terminal and has an opt out, then plugin the sources directly to tv, the the single output should be connected to your amp and there you go, one opt cable from tv is enough to work for you.
