Can you communicate with the dead?

Question

I am 16 years old and am very interested in communicating with the dead. The is a specific person i want to reach and i have really tried so hard to get a reaction or sign out of him to see if he's listening. i know we are not in the right to say the dead can even hear us, but im hoping they can.Can anyone give me any advice, encouragment or steps to really talking with my deceased loved one. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

the point of being dead, is BEING DEAD. of course you can't communicate!!!!!!! now there are jokers who CLAIM they can 'communicate with the dead' but they are not doing that at all! satan has powers too, ya know. and, satan knows what you wanna hear. so, yes, people who claim to be pyschic are actually communicating with satan, NOT your dead loved one.

what you need to do is find a spot that has a sentimental value with the deceased. i.e.. a family room or kitchen that thye spent many hours in. it is possible you will find them in one of your favorite places. you need to be free. clear your mind. and just talk. address them by their name, and make it clear that your talking to you. they will hear you. and in a dream, you may happen to catch something. a memorie or a thought that they had. if u get this, then u KNOW the heard. sometimes they choose not to do that.

You have to stop trying so hard, being subtle is better. Spirits can't communicate the way we want them to. Try to relax and avoid being angry - just remember some good time you had with this person something you shared on a deep personal level. You may not get instant results, a dream - a reminder of him - it is always something subtle and you feel better afterward. But you must be patient and don't try any shortcuts or occult practices.

There is no harm in trying to communicate with the dead and shame on all of the other answerers for being so negative! The most common method is EVP "electronic voice phenomena." It is a really simple thing to do; take any type of recorder (cassette, digital, your choice) and make sure it has an external microphone. Turn it on and ask questions like "Is anyone here with me?" or "What is your name?" Wait at least 30 seconds between questions to give time for an answer. Then play it back and see if you get a response. You may not always get a response, so give it time. Another option, but much more expensive, is a technology called a "Frank's box." This allows real-time communication with the dead through radio frequencies. I believe there is a UFO specialist on YouTube that has a video on how to make one of these for under $100 now. If technology isn't for you, you can also (carefully) try automatic writing. This might take reading a book or two first. Basically it involves you sitting down and concentrating, with a pencil in hand, and allowing the dead to use you as a tool to communicate. It is believed a spirit could use your hand and the pencil to write out a message. I think it is important to mention that signs don't always come to us how we expect them. I'm a psychologist and tend to be of a scientific mind, but I can say I have witnessed some amazing things in relation to communication with the dead. Be patient, careful, and look for every possible sign - perhaps the phone just rang and nobody answered? Or the TV just blipped? Did the dog just start staring at the corner and nothing is there? People who pretend to be psychic are using what is known as "Cold Reading", look it up. It makes them look like they know all about you, but they really don't.

Oija Boards and Pendulums also don't work. They rely on what is called "ideomotor action". Look it up. Your hands move the planchet or the string of the pendulum in tiny movements, coming from your brain sending signals to your muscles, but the movements are so small that you are not aware of them.

No, I really can't offer any encouragement that this kind of thing is possible. I'm reminded of Harry Houdini who arranged with his wife a secret code that he would use after he died if it turned out that there was life after death. He would use this code to communicate with her via a medium. Needless to say, no mediums were able to come up with the right code.

Alternatively, I'd like to offer that it's much more important for us to communicate with our loved ones while they are still here.

No one has provided any unquestionable evidence for this ability but there is at least one attempt in the world of scientific research to study psychic mediums. I have included that link for you below.

I cannot say with any certainty that the following will allow you to have any actual communication with the deceased.

I can tell you it has a high success rate of giving people an apparitional communication experience and that most people having the experience believe that actual spiritual contact was taking place.

I guess anyone can talk TO  them...and I'm sure a lot of people do. I think it's when you start hearing FROM  them that is unusual. Remember..if you talk to someone online or even on the phone etc...you can't be positive who you're REALLY talking to or hearing from. It's the same with talking to people who have died. You might think you're hearing from them...but you might be hearing from someone/something who is really really evil. By that time you've "opened the door" to them and it's too late. It's really really hard to get them "out the door" and to close it. I don't recommend it to ANYONE..(from personal experiences)..ESPECIALLY to someone as young as you are. I think you don't have much experience with this (as I didn't) and it can destroy your life(as it did mine).  I'm not trying to keep you finding the comfort you need...I'm trying to keep your life safe for you. I advise that you concentrate on YOUR life..not theirs. I really do know how you feel. There are people & pets  I grieve about and wish I could hear from them. But, like I said..there's no way you can really know if it's them. I guess it just has to come to a matter of trust. You can do things to let them know that you love them (if they really can see/hear you). Just be really careful about wanting/expecting to hear from them. If they love you..they wouldn't want you to subject yourself to spirits etc. that could hurt/harm you. And PLEASE don't mess with the Ouija Board.It's very dangerous. People might tell you that it doesn't work. So if it doesn't work..why bother? But if it does work...you can be getting something to come to you that ISN'T who you are wanting to hear from ..and they could do great harm to you. Hope you find comfort some other way. Good Luck. I have never been able to consciously contact anyone dead.  I have had them contact me, however. There is also a book which I have heard of and bought, but not as yet had time to read, called Contact the Other Side, seven methods for afterlife communication", by Konstantinos, who has appeared on numerous television shows.  The book goes into many things mentioned above: evp, radio noise, videotape, letting them use your computer or telephone to communicate, using tools, establishing telepathic contact, frauds to beware of, etc.  It was published in 2001.  You can probably find a copy on alibris.com or half.com. I think I paid like $4.00 for mine.  You can also check out about.com and search paranormal, there are many interesting, helpful  articles and links there.  You might also want to check out allisondubois. com, the real life medium who inspired the tv show Medium, and get on her mailing list.
