  1. Kamikazes were limited to pilots that flew their planes to disaster.  Suicide bombers, whether it is in the air or on the ground are the same in the fact they are using their own bodies as weapons of destruction.  This is usually put into motion by the older generation by brain washing the younger generation into thinking they are being patriotic to their country and will be rewarded in their after life.  I find this behavior  despicable.

  2. kamikazes attacked military targets to "defend" their country from a country they attacked.  Suicide bombers take on both

  3. Kamikazies were more talented they coould at least fly a plane... Making a bomb not so hard even my stupid *** can make a bomb, I must admit I aced science in school but never the less flying a plane to kill people is much more impressive and really makes a point where as just blowing yourself up in the middle of a street just makes you look ... stupid actually

  4. Because of the word (warrior) it may appear that what the kamikazes did seemed more dignified and commanded some sort of respect. It is even sort of romanticized about in the movies, like in Empire Of The Sun. The end result is still death and destruction and there is nothing romantic about that. http://www.slate.com/id/2186554/

  5. Essentially the same.....there have been "suicide missions" since the beginning of warfare.

  6. No comparison.

Kamikaze warriors (as per the Geneva Convention) were recognized combatants fighting with other combatants to the death in a recognized conflict (declared war).

Suicide bombers try to kill innocent people (non-combatant civilians) in public places in order to deny them access to basic needs.  Ex: Killing mothers shopping for food at the market would cause other families to go hungry due to fear of going to the market to buy food.

  7. Not really today's suicide bombers are trying to stop a military by using the resulting public outcry at the carnage they create. The Kamikaze pilots were young pilots who felt the man way they could protect the empire was to not try and shoot down fighters ( this would not work well due to heavy losses in experienced pilots) but  they could swarm the navy and destroy them like a davine wind and if I recall correctly that is what Kamikaze's translation is.
