Ok here it is, my hubby and I have not been charting my ovulation and all that lately to see if we could get pg "not trying". Well I was curious and thought that I would check to see if I missed my ovulation day or not. Well when I checked I was on the day past my ovulation, so we baby danced! That's the only time that we have "danced" in a week. What are our chances of conceiving a day after ovulation? Thanx for all the help!!!

  1. VERY HIGHLY!!! :)  BUT its best to have s*x the day before ovulation:) Heres son baby making advice!!:)

Remember you ovulate 14-16 days before you start your period. The time to have s*x to get pregnant is when you are very wet, slippery, and stretchy down there, alot of women's right or left side will hurt when the egg is released. You need to have s*x atleast two or three times the week of ovulation to get preganant.VERY IMPORTANT! Stay laying down 30-45 minutes after s*x DO NOT GET UP AT ALL.WAIT TO PEE!!! It takes 30-45 minutes for the sperm to reach the egg to fertize it.Hope this helps!!:) Good luck

It took me three years of trying and I got this advice from a friend and I got pregnant in two months after I took her advice:)

  2. Mine is due the same day.  They say that the egg only lives for 12-24 hours so you may have missed your chance this month, but don't fret there is always September

  3. the egg only lives for about 24 hours from when you ovulate s if you passed the ovulation date it doesn't look good

  4. you can conceive after ovulation. I would say they are pretty good. Good luck to you.

  5. how do you know you ovulated the day before? just by a calendar?? that is not an accurate way to track your ovulation. i have a 28 day cycle and i should (according to what "they" say) ovulate on the 14th day of my cycle but i actually ovulate on the 8th day of my cycle. you should track your cycle, i did so by watching my cervical mucous.

anyway, if you truly ovulated 24 hours before you had s*x then you won't get pregnant. it is best to have s*x a few days before you are supposed to ovulate.

  6. It helps to BD on the days just before ovulation and on the day of ovulation. It is true that the egg is only viable for 12-24 hours...So if you caught it after it dropped and before it dissipated, you could e pregnant... I'm no gyno, though!

    Good luck & Baby Dust!

  7. Not great.  Once you ovulate your egg only is good for 12-24 hours.  You really need to bd before ovulation since sperm can live for up to 72 hours.  If you are using BBT and your temp increase is what you are going by then you are definitely too late.  BBT is to find out if you are ovulating and to plan ahead.  Good luck on "not trying"
