Question:

Can you connect Canon digital camera to HP all-in-one?

I have HP PSC 2355 All-in-One. Also, have Canon PS-A460. Until now, there was no need for connecting digital camera through (there's a port for camera on it) All-in-one, cause I had other computer used for this (connecting directly through USB). That other computer is now gone for a month, and I'm stuck with my pictures in camera. Normally, I would use port on all-in-one and the second computer. But I heard HP and Canon doesn't go well and could make really big problems connected, and some people tell me it can't be connected through all-in-one at all, cause it wont allow Canon. Is that true? I'm afraid of sc.....g something permanently (HP already gives me headaches, even without this), so hope someone here can give me the clue what to do, before I try actually connecting these two. Thanks in front :)

  1. You can use the built-in memory card reader on the front of the printer if you're not sure. There seems to be an LCD that you should be able to preview pictures from. This is universal so it will certainly work.

You're set if you're trying to connect the camera to the HP via USB connection as well. Both the printer and camera are Pictbridge enabled. I'd suggest you read about the Pictbridge procedure in both manuals. Usually you just have to connect the two and tag the photos you want to print on the camera but it varies from camera to camera.

  2. Take SD card from camera, plug into reader slot on front of HP. You may now view your pics on the printers screen. I agree with you on HP headaches, their bloatware(they call it software) should be illegal.

  3. Ur camera should support Pict Bridge coz i've got a Canon PS A450 and even tht has the function.

So connect ur USB cable to the camera and connect the other end to the USB in  in the front of ur Printer

the connection could activate ur pict Bridge in ur Camera

there s a blue color Light and Print jobs could be made in ur camera itself .

I dont know that ur Printer Supports the Pict Bridge. I have HP all in ne PSC 1513 and it the pict Bridge on the front ( its just a USB header)

  4. You can also take the SD card and plug it into the appropriate slot in the front of the computer and avoid the whole camera to  printer connection thing.
