Can you consider the infected potatoes during the Great Irish Famine a limiting factor on the population of humans

  1. I guess so, if you consider how many people died and how many progeny they could have produced, had they not died. It certainly had a huge impact on the population in Ireland, as it led to at least a 25% fall in population. Having said that, there are many more historic events that would have affected world population much much more.
