Can you convert a PS/2 cable to a S-video cable?

I have some extra PS/2 null modem cables and a few AV boxes that can benefit from a S-video connection. The plugs appear almost the same, with the PS/2 having two extra pins. If I break off those extra pins can those PS/2 cables be used for a S-video connection? Not sure if the pinouts are the same.
