  1. To guest 1558: This is exactly why the internet can be dangerous. Please read: http://www.recipetips.com/kitchen-tips/t--395/thawing-pork.asp

You should never leave pork at anything over 40F let alone room temperature. This promotes bacterial growth and can get people sick. Please dont BS on any other boards and get people sick. It's just not cool.

  2. The answer is of course. Anytime you have a high enough heat source whether it be a grill, oven or microwave you can cook pork. The question is how do you cook it without burning it and messing it up.

What I do is buy those big pork chop and loin packs from my local supermarket. I usually end up freezing them because I wouldn't be able to eat them all before they spoiled. For cooking for two, your best friend is one of those non-stick 8x8 baking tins used for brownies.

Preheat your oven to 375F. Place your pork chops/loins in the tin. I love salsa so I usually cover them in it. I place foil over the top and place in the oven for 25 min or so.

You can use this same method to cook great frozen chicken. I usually throw some frozen veggies in with it and throw it all in at once. You only want to do this with lean cuts. Definitely don't try this with pork, it releases allot of juices. With pork, cook the sides seperately.

  3. isnt it bad to put anything in a plastic bag (ziplock or not) in the cold or in the heat?
