  1. Yes, it's fine. I've done that so many times before. The microwave where I works is tiny and half the things you put in it catch on the sides and don't spin. The only reason it does spin is because it is trying to heat the food more thoroughly. Microwaves are hotter in some areas than others so it's trying to compensate for that. It's perfectly okay to use.

  2. It will just heat more unevenly. It should not explode unless it is sealed.

  3. Of course you can cook it in the microwave.  Just turn it 1/4 of a turn about halfway through the cooking time.  And even if you didn't turn it at all, it wouldn't blow up or anything, it would just cook unevenly.  One side would be very hot and the other cold or undercooked.  The first microwaves didn't have the spinning trays and we had to turn everything as it cooked.

  4. Yes, you can still cook it in there. I used to always put things in there that would move for a second and then hit the wall and stop spinning, and nothing bad ever happened. In fact, there is a way you can turn off the spinner, but I'm not sure how.

  5. It will cook, if it makes you feel better rotate it yourself halfway through, and cover the meal loosely with a paper towel.
