  1. Open "my computer", then clic on your cd player and copy paste all the songs on your computer

  2. you clik rip cd put the cd in

  3. IF YOU HAVE WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER....

    ** insert the cd

** there are tabs on top that say "burn" "sync" & "rip"... click on the "rip" tab

** it will give you the option of "ripping" contents from the cd in a column on your left.

** click yes, and you're set

  4. Windows Media Player 10

    1. Insert the music CD into your computer’s CD drive. If a window titled “Audio CD” pops up, select “Take No Action” and click Ok.

    2. Start Windows Media Player from the Start Menu.

    3. With the “Now Playing” tabbed menu on the screen, select “Rip”. You’ll notice a list of your CD tracks appear, with the title, length, artist and other information either filled in or showing as unknown. If you have an Internet connection, click “Find Album Info” to have it downloaded and filled in automatically. Alternatively, you can click on items like artist once and manually type in the information.

    4. Select Tools from under the top menu and choose Options. Choose the Rip Music tab. Check to see that the “Rip Music to this location” option is to your liking. If not, click Change. Under File Name, you can also choose what options (i.e. artist, song title) to include in the name.

    5. Under Rip settings, select the Format you wish to save your music to. The Three Windows Media Audio formats can provide slightly better audio results then MP3, especially at lower bit rates (known as audio quality in Windows Media Player – see next step), but are not as widely supported on digital audio players as MP3s.

    6. Audio quality selection is next. The slider, by moving it to the right, will increase the bit rate by which the music is recorded to. The higher the bit rate (i.e. displayed in the box as 192 Kbps), the better sounding quality the music will be. It also will increase the size of the individual music files, which may ultimately limit how many you can store on a portable device.

    7. After confirming your selections, click Ok to return to the Rip CD screen.

    8. Looking at the screen, you will see checkmarks next to each of the tracks to be copied. If you wish to not copy some of them, uncheck those marks.

    9. Click Rip Music. A progress bar will appear next to each song title as it is copied onto your hard drive. You can stop the rip at anytime by clicking Stop Rip.

    10. When all of the songs have been ripped, you can eject the CD and put it away.

    11. Congratulations – you’ve ripped a CD using Windows Media Player 10!

    Windows Media Player 11

    1) Insert an audio CD in your computer and the AutoPlay function of Windows should make a window prompt appear asking you what you wish to do with the CD. Select Rip music from CD using Windows Media Player. If not, jump to step three after starting Windows Media Player 11.

    2) Windows Media Player should now start and after downloading information such as track titles and album art, begin automatically copying the CD's audio content to your hard drive. If it does not, or if you wish to change something about the configuration, jump to the next step.

    3) With Windows Media Player 11 open, the album cover art and other information should download automatically as the CD appears in the open window. If not, the album name or an indication an audio CD is in your computer should appear in the left column as seen in the photo. Select that album title or audio CD indication to view the information window about your CD (if you lack an Internet connection or for whatever reason can't get Windows Media Player to input the information automatically, you can right click on the various text in the window and input the information yourself).

    4) Click on the Rip tab along the upper menu bar. If you are happy with the default settings of Windows Media Player 11, you can click Start Rip in the lower right corner and start copying the audio CD. If you wish to change something, click on the arrow below the Rip tab and select More Options.

    5) In More Options you'll see you can do several things. Rip music to this location allows you to select where on your computer you copy the music to (File Name allows to choose what elements of each song appear in the saved track's name). Rip settings allows you to select the audio file format type (WMA, MP3, WAV) you save each copied file as and the audio quality you wish each file to be saved at, among other features. With regards to the audio quality, generally the better sounding a music file is the larger the file is so keep that in mind as you are choosing sound quality.

    6) With your choices made and the More Options menu closed, you should now be ready to copy your audio CD. Click Start Rip and you'll hear your CD drive start spinning, a green status bar will appear over each song as it is copied and the Start Rip button which change to Stop Rip. Once the audio CD is ripped you can remove the CD from your computer drive and enjoy your music off your hard drive.

Sorry no Windows Media Player 9,

    Hope this helps!

  5. Yes you can.
