What if you take an organism with short life expectancy, like say bacteria or sea monkeys, and separate the smart ones from the dumb ones and interbreed them?

will i have intelligent life in no time?

what organisms do you recommend?

  1. A firm NO. How will you tell smart bacteria from dumb bacteria? And bacteria DO NOT breed. They use what is called asexual reproduction and make genetically identical copies of themselves. Which mean there are no varies in the intelligence of bacteria of the same type.....

  2. yeah, if you do it

  3. You will  create intelligent life in 9 months after having s*x with your wife/husband

  4. You will never ever, ever manage to do it.

Nature took aout 4.5 billion years to make us, and even genetic engineers probably couldn't do it.  It is far too complication.

I am sure that you do not have a genetic engineer facility either.

    Snow Man

  5. what ? the only way you can create intelligent life , is not by animals . When i saw this question i though you were referring to artificial intelligence , get a degree in robotics , make your own "intelligent robots" and leave animals alone

  6. this my friend is a pretty stupid question , but then again, there are not stupid questions, just stupid....

  7. well it didn't work with g w bush did it

  8. You could, but it would take a LONG time....probably several thousand years to see any progress.

The fastest way to create intelligent life in your house is to find a person of the opposite s*x with the HIGHEST I.Q. POSSIBLE! (Looks don't matter, but might make your work a little easier!).

Then, let nature take its course. It usually takes about 9 months, maybe longer, but eventually happens. Usually, the intelligence of the life created is based on a combination of both of your I.Q.'s, along with a great deal of luck. I've DONE this myself. ("Two out of three ain't bad".)

While it takes a lot less time than breeding only smart one cell organisms with other smart one cell organisms, it's a lot more fun! However, it can be rather expensive and takes a minimum of 18 years commitment, usually more.

  9. NO... you wouldn't be "Creating" intelligent life, you'd simply be separating already existing intelligent life from less intelligent life. You might, through selective breeding, raise the level of intelligence, but you wouldn't be creating it.

  10. Anthrax

  11. A 16 years old girl made nuclear energy at her house...LOL

  12. Organisms recommended for your little experiment are not bacteria.  Fruit flies perhaps.  They have a short life cycle, but they already have intelligence.
