Can you cut hair extensions?

Question

So I bought clip on hair extensions not too long ago and I was wondering if it would be possible to cut them into a style instead of all straight and flat like they are now. I was thinking of cutting them in a "scene" style. Oh and also can you dye hair extensions?

As long as they are human hair you can cut them, dye them, style them however you want. If they are synthetic hair you can cut them, but you can not apply heat or color. Just be careful cutting them, cuz they don't grow back. haha You can have that done at a salon if you don't know how to do it yourself.

you can cut hair extensions but make sure it doesnt stuff up and then the whole hair extension is stuffed. you can dye hair extensions but its just like dyeing your normal hair so no worries their

You can cut them but you cant dye them

Yeah you can any hair. As for dyeing, I STRONGLY wouldn't recommend dying any hair unless it's human hair.

Well I don't know about dying extensions, im sure u could but get human hair cause synthetic hair mats and knots up real easy, but if u get extensions use saga hair..I buy that hair all the time, I just don't cut it, but I mean it runs high like 150, but it's really worth it.

As long as your hair extensions are "Real Human Hair" and Not Synthetic or fake hair, you can cut them any way you'd like! I just got some extensions that were 18inch, to me definitelytoo long to look real and I too ddon'tlike that straight flat look-although its fine when I curl them. You can also dye them too, i had to dye mine as well since I have very dark brown hair but not black....so the Remy style extensions I get dondon'tve my exact match so I had to do it myself. The specialist recommended different dye for your hair than your average take home kit, but I bought normal hair color anyways.

If you want to do scene style hair and dye it, im assuming you want pinks or blues or blondes...they have smaller amounts of hair dye in fun colors at your local beauty supply or Sallys...as for cutting it, I am having my friend who is a hair stylist trim them up when I put them in.

you can definately cut them... but if you want to dye them i'd imagine they'd have to be real hair... its tricky..

Yes you can cut them... but odviously if you mess it up you mess it up there is no growing it back...

You can only color them if it is 100% real hair
