Can you cut long haired teddy bear hamster hair if it gets to long?

i have a long haired teddy bear hamster and i am trying too find out if you can do this or not

  1. why not? I'm sure you can, just don't get to close to the under coat of the fur/skin


  2. I don't think you are supposed to but I don't really know.

  3. I wouldn't unless there is something stuck in the hair or the hair is matted. It would probably stress the little guy out too much, especially if you are uncertain.

  4. If you're talking about the long ruffles behind the back legs that can get pretty dirty, yes you can trim it. Be really careful. If you don't need to do it, don't.... you are taking a risk.

  6. it should be fine, but just don't cut much, all that hair must be there for a reason.
