Can you cut ocycontin in half?

Will this affect the drug? I have 10 mg tablets, and I only need 5 mg. Thank you. Also, what side effects can I expect from this medication? I am VERY AFRAID of medicine. Will the side effects be similar to hydrocodone? I have a kidney stone, that is why I am taking this medicine. Thank you and God bless.

See if it's extended release or not... I'm pretty sure 10mg is immediate release so it shouldn't effect it all.

Even if it was extended release it wouldn't be high enough dosage to cause problems.

The effects are similar to hydro's but stronger and relieve pain much better. And if your in pain there's less chance for addiction, plus if your afraid of it.
